Why I Love Paint Dabber Activities:
Paint dabber activities are great for young students for a number of reasons:
1) The kids enjoy them! They love the process of putting different colors on the page. Because paint dabbing doesn’t require as much fine motor ability as drawing or coloring, it’s virtually a frustration-free activity.
2) They can be done quickly, allowing for a lot of repetition and practice within a short period of time.
3) Data is easy to track. The student’s responses are right on the practice page and can be scored in real time or after the session.
Tips for Using this Product:
Begin by giving the Pre/Post-Assessment. This will help you gauge which concepts the student needs to work on.
For students that have difficulty focusing on one area of a page at a time, use the Cover Up Page (pg. 5).
Paint dabbers aren’t required—markers will work as well!
