Why I love Color, Cut, & Glue
Color, cut, & glue activities are great for Pre-K and kindergarten students for a number of reasons: 1) They enjoy them! They love the process of creating something of their own and are very proud to take their creations home at the end of the session. 2) Whether seen individually or in small groups, students are always engaged. When it is one student’s turn to practice a sound or word, the other students are working on completing their own projects. There’s no idle wait time for the kids! 3) Students learn through multiple modalities (visually, aurally, and through manipulation of the cut out objects). Knowledge of their target sounds and words is reinforced continually.
